Florida Home Inspectors, by the Numbers (2026)
Florida has 9,126 active licensed home inspectors spread across 573 cities — but they're far from evenly distributed. Here's what the public license data shows.
Florida cities with the most home inspectors
Miami leads the state with 638 inspectors. The metro hubs dominate — the top 10 cities alone account for 24% of all licensed inspectors in Florida.

Most of Florida is an inspector's opportunity
While the big metros are crowded, 182 Florida cities have only a single licensed home inspector — and many have none listed at all. For inspectors, that's open territory; for home buyers in those areas, it can mean a wait or a longer drive. It's a reminder that “find an inspector near me” is a very local question.
Methodology & data
Figures reflect active home inspector licenses in Florida's public DBPR records, compiled by Master of Directories in 2026. “Cities” are inspector business locations. Counts exclude inactive and out-of-state licenses.
